Airline lounge network
United Club
United Club is United Airlines' branded airport lounge network. The Club is distinct from United's Polaris Lounges, which are restricted to United international business-class passengers and a narrower set of Star Alliance long-haul travelers.
How United Club access works
United Club requires a same-day United-marketed or Star Alliance partner flight ticket. Access methods include the United Club Infinite Card from Chase (the most common card-based door), an annual paid United Club membership, or Star Alliance Gold status when traveling internationally on United or a Star Alliance partner. Domestic-only Star Alliance Gold tickets do not qualify.
United Club vs. Polaris Lounge
United runs two separate lounge products. United Club is the broader network, accessible to many cardholders and members at most United US hub airports. Polaris Lounge is the higher-tier product, restricted to United Polaris business-class passengers on international flights and to a narrower set of Star Alliance Gold international travelers. Polaris Lounges have a sit-down restaurant and shower suites and are available only at Newark, Chicago O'Hare, San Francisco, Houston, Los Angeles, and Washington Dulles.
Card-based access in 2026
The most common card-based door to United Club is the United Club Infinite Card from Chase, which includes a full United Club membership for the primary cardholder plus the cardholder's immediate family (or two guests). The Chase Sapphire Reserve does not include United Club. Cardholders on the United Quest, United Explorer, and United Gateway tiers do not get full Club access; some receive a small number of one-time-use passes per year.
Where United Clubs exist
United Club is concentrated at United's US hubs (Newark, Chicago O'Hare, San Francisco, Denver, Houston, Washington Dulles, Los Angeles), with a small number of international locations including London Heathrow, Tokyo Narita, and Hong Kong International. Most Club locations have multiple seating zones, complimentary food and drink, Wi-Fi, and quiet workspaces.
Star Alliance access
Star Alliance Gold passengers on international United or partner flights can use United Club. The "international" qualifier matters: domestic Star Gold travel does not unlock the Club. Travelers on United Premier 1K who hold Star Alliance Gold via that route also qualify on international itineraries. Specific lounge access rules at each Club are posted at the entrance.
